e172 - Herbivory by Nitrogen Interactive Effects on Community and Ecosystem Processes and Dynamics
Introduction
Deer, a major mammalian herbivore at CDR, significantly impact CDR grasslands (also see section 3.5). In autumn of 2004, in another site, 3 randomly chosen N treatment plots per treatment were assigned to be fenced to exclude deer and the other 3 were open to deer. All continue to receive N. Current work is in all plots in the E001 field are being recorded under experiment number E001. See Experiment 001 - Long-Term Nitrogen Addition to Undisturbed Vegetation for more information.
