Commercial Software Licences

University of Minnesota Employees have access to the following software at no minimal cost.

Cedar Creek maintains an ArcGIS license.  Please contact the information manager for access.

R Statistical Software
  • R software is available here.  
  • Cedar Creek data is available through the DataOne Data Catalog.  An R package for reading DataOne metadata is available here.
Custom databases

The Cedar Creek information management team is available to assist in the creation of databases and data entry forms.  These can be used on individual computers, a network of systems, or on field data collection devices.  A sample database for a Windows field tablet computer can be downoaded here.

High-Performance Computing Resources

Cedar Creek researchers can gain access to high-performance computer time at the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute through the Cedar Creek user group.  To request allocation of HPCR service units, contact the Cedar Creek information manager.
