(Flatheaded Mayflies)

Flatheaded Mayfly naiads (133 NA spp) are usually found under stones or logs in shallow rapid streams or lakes. Wisconsin genera include--Anepeorus(1), Epeorus(1), Heptagenia(3), Leucrocuta(1), Macdunnoa(1), Nixe(2), Rhithrogena(4), Stenacron(1), Stenonema(8).  Pseudiron(1) is now placed in the PSEUDIRONIDAE; and Arthroplea(1) in the ARTHROPLEIDAE.
