Jill Johnson is an installation artist who has been focusing on Swedish and Swedish American cultural and tribal themes for the past six years; she has been an exhibiting artist for the past 15 years in juried and non-juried exhibitions. In addition to her art, she shares her love and knowledge of Swedish language and life via teaching cultural arts for the adult weeks and weekends at Concordia Language Villages in Minnesota. She has studied extensively with Viking authorities both in the United States in abroad. Jill was raised in Anoka, MN and is a member of the Anoka High School graduating class of 1978. Her grandfather farmed in East Bethel, and her grandmother made sure she knew she was Swedish. She currently resides in Moorhead, MN.
