This experiment was done in 3 upland oak forests (= 3 stands). In each stand, there were 4 aspects and 3 slope positions. In each slope-aspect combination, there was a tube for mineralization and nitrification. Samples were taken every 5 weeks to determine temporal patterns at each stand.
