Three replicate strips were removed on each of the sampling dates. Seven sampling dates were set at time 0, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 16 weeks, 32 weeks and 64 weeks. On sampling dates, the strips were pulled out of the ground and changes in C and N were measured.
