Sampling Map for B036
1988: Each plot was clipped in two places, one in the shaded portion of the plot and one in the unshaded portion that was at a diagonal to it. The clip strip positions varied with the varying positions of the light shades within the plots. Therefore, the plots were clipped in either the strips marked by : or those marked by , depending on the shade position within the plot. Each strip was 10cm x 1m. The strips were oriented in the North-South direction and centered within the quarter plot section which put them at 95-105 cm from the tag (west) side of each 2m x 2m section.
1990: The sample strips were oriented in the North-South direction and were 60-70cm from the tag (west) side of each section. These strips were 25cm to the left of the 1988 clip strips. As in 1988, the plots were clipped in two places. One strip in the section with the shade and one strip in the unshaded section at a diagonal to it. Each strip was 10cm x 1m.
1991: The sample strips were oriented in the North-South direction and were 130-140cm from the tag (west) side of each section. These strips were 25cm to the right of the 1988 clip strips. As in
previous years, plots were clipped in two places. One strip in the section with the shade and one strip in the unshaded section at a diagonal
to it. Each strip was 10cm x 1m.
1988: B-36-36 - both unshaded portions of the plot opposite the shade were clipped instead of just the portion that is at a diagonal to it. Only the data from the "correct" portion (the portion at a diagonal to the shaded portion) was kept.
1990: none
1991: none
