The purpose of this experiment was to measure the competitive abilities of 4 species at different nitrogen levels. The experiment was located in the same fenced area as E018. Three nitrogen levels, in conjunction with the soil construction, were used: N3*, N5, and N6. For further information, see soil details. The species were combined in all pairwise combinations, and all four species together. A density of about 50 plants/pot was planted. There were three replicates for a total of 63, 5-gallon pots.
