The purpose of this experiment was to see the effect of light availability on the growth rates of different plant species. The experiment took place at the same location as E018. Eight species were tested in 5-gallon pots at seven different light intensities on high nitrogen soils. For further information on soil construction, see soil details. The eight species were the same species listed under experiment 18. The seven different light levels were created with greenhouse shades. Each light level area was 7.3 by 7.3 meters in size. The seven light levels that were tried for were L1=15, L2=25, L3=30, L4=35, L5=45, L6=60, and L7=100% of full sunlight. There were 112 pots used in this experiment.
