Three common species of Osmunda
in the Cinnamon Fern Family are O. claytoniana (Interrupted
Fern),
O. cinnamomea (Cinnamon Fern), and O. regalis
(Royal Fern). The first is a transition species found on lower slopes
bordering wooded wetlands. The latter two occur in wooded swamps.
All three can be seen along the boardwalk into Cedar Bog Lake.
