Family HYDROPHYLLACEAE*

(Water-leaf Family)

Hydrophyllum virginianum (Virginia Water-leaf) was last collected on CCNHA in 1971 at an odd location near a house site.  It does not occur naturally in mesic or lowland forests at Cedar Creek, but  is a common groundlayer forb of floodplain forests near here.

Other species found in Minnesota but not represented at Cedar Creek include: Ellisia nyctelea and Phacelia franklinii.
