Plants of Cedar Creek

Six species of Equisetum (Horsetails) are found on the Area.  E. laevigatum and E. arvense are two species  found in upland fields. E. fluviatile is an emergent aquatic found in lake/pond shallows (BL, BP).  E. hymale occurs on wet sand along the NE shore of Fish Lake.  E. x ferrissii collected in 1953 in old field north of Fish Lake. E. sylvaticum found in shady moist woods (NSLR).
