Plants of Cedar Creek

    The three representatives of the Rock-Rose Family are Helianthemum bicknellii (Frostweed), Lechea stricta (Prairie Pinweed), and Hudsonia tomentosa (False Heather).  The first two are fairly common in old fields and savanna.  Hudsonia is found only in the blowout area of Helen Allison Savanna.
