Cedar Creek

This family is not represented at Cedar Creek but has three noteworthy members found in Minnesota. Caulophyllum thalictroides (Blue Cohosh) is a common forb of mesic woodlands throughout much of the state. Jeffersonia diphylla (Twinleaf) and Podophyllum peltatum (May Apple) are two uncommon but conspicuous spring ephemerals of SE Minnesota woodlands.
