The most common species in the Ginseng Family is
Aralia
nudicaulis (Wild Sarsaparilla). It is an understory forb
of mesic woodland. A. racemosa (Spikenard) is a less
common species of upland woods and Crone’s Knoll. Panax quinquefolium
(Ginseng) has been found on Crone’s Knoll. Probably planted.
