The most common species in the Ginseng Family is Aralia nudicaulis (Wild Sarsaparilla).  It is an understory forb of mesic woodland.  A. racemosa (Spikenard) is a less common species of upland woods and Crone’s Knoll.  Panax quinquefolium (Ginseng) has been found on Crone’s Knoll.  Probably planted.
